South Beach Chamber Ensemble
Quinteto sobre las poemas de Carlos Pintado is ready for its premiere in May 2009.

The Future of Life
For the Mastersingers of Lexington. The composing occupied my summer, finished in time for the first September rehearsal with the concert October 28 2007. The words, by scientist Dr. Edward O. Wilson and poets Anne Baring and Judy Grahn, are a statement on the significance of biodiversity.

Art-Poem-Music: Body and Soul
My collaboration with artist Sirarpi Heghinian Walzer and poet Elizabeth Kirschner continues. Volume 1 is six songs for mezzo and string trio; Vol. 2 is 3 songs for soprano, flute, cello, piano. There are 22 poems in total, so I've got three or four volumes to go. Body and Soul Vol.2 was performed in Concord, MA on Feb 29, 2008.

Play Book
A collection of pieces written for the students of Carroll Ann Bottino, plus compositions by some of the students. It's a result of a three-part workshop we did together this spring on improvising and composing. Colorful pieces, from easy to challenging. Available this winter.

Spindrift Commissioning Guild project update
Enchanted - When I finish a version with piano accompaniment, this fall, this solo for oboe and chamber orchestra will be published.

Spindrift Commissioning Guild project update
Black Bear Dance - This piece is available for horns and drums, and I will be making an adaptation for clarinet ensemble for Charles Learoyd's clarinet choir.

Photography
Off topic, but perhaps of interest. David Emerson and Pamela Marshall presented their first photography exhibition "Impressions of India" in September 2006 at Cary Library in Lexington, MA. Take a look at Honeycreeper Images.
