Both performers use extended techniques.<\/p>\n<p>Zoa&#8217;s\u00a0music sets an exotic mood. The sounds in Zoa are an imagined music of elemental creatures. The composer imagined\u00a0&#8220;protozoa&#8221;, as well as William Blake&#8217;s monumentally mystic poem &#8220;The Four Zoas&#8221; where each Zoa is both a force of nature and an aspect of our personas.
