    Composer/bassoonist Brin Solomon’s blog reveals a lot of music that is new to me in their Music Monday posts. Taking Brin’s recommendation, I listened to Sarah Rimkus’s MacLeod Road for orchestra, a beautiful work with passages that shimmer with vibraphone bells.     A whole disc of solo clarinet seems like a lot of just one flavor, but I found the pieces varied and delightful. I was drawn to it because I was looking for music by Betsy Jolas, with whom I studied a long time ago at Yale.
