Art-Poem-Music: Body and Soul

The Art-Poem-Music project presents Body and Soul Volume 2. Jodi Hitzhusen sings 3 songs by Pamela J. Marshall with poems by Elizabeth Kirschner. Ms. Hitzhusen is joined by Susan Caplan, flute; Pip Moss, cello; and Karen Sauer, piano.

The program:

  • Elusive Sleep for cello and piano
  • Communing with Birds for flute
  • Remember the Old Songs for voice and piano:
    Shenandoah Echo, Juanita and Caroline, Whistling Dixie
  • Body and Soul Vol. 2: Mulched by Moonlight, O Trill, The Lost Roots

Sirarpi Heghinian-Walzer will exhibit her mixed media art.

Bassoonist Patricia Yee plays "I Am the Wind" by Pamela Marshall, which Patricia selected as the winner of Beauport's call for scores.

Also music by Jay Batzner, Robert Bradshaw, Kari Juusela, James Scully, Philip Swanson. Beauport performers include Monica Duncan, clarinet, Christopher Hawes, trumpet, Nathaniel Farny, violin, and Michael Monroe, piano, plus guest artists. (more)
