Notes
Christmas music for horn ensemble, this arrangement of the traditional Appalachian Christmas carol has several spirited variations. The set includes alternate bass clef parts in C for horns 5-8 so that the ensemble could be filled out by bassoons, trombones, or cellos.
Alternate version Three Appalachian Carols for orchestra includes these Star in the East variations.
